Boys Varsity Lacrosse fought hard in Friday’s game but ultimately lost to T.C. Williams Lacrosse team by a final score of 22-15. After keeping up with the Titans in the first three quarters, they fell behind in the last quarter after two penalties.
“It was neck and neck until the beginning of the fourth quarter, where the refs gave us two penalties at once,” said junior Justin Woodrum. “Then we were two players down on the field and they took the lead from there, but it was a serious battle.”
The team did score 15 points, with goals from seniors Mike Bickerton, Neil Beausoleil, and Andrew Stone, and juniors Angel Flores and Lamont Lewis.
“The whole team played very well, we just had some penalties that set us back.” said junior Aidan Brady.
“We just need to work on helping defense and staying out of the penalty box,” said Bickerton. The team is coming into the last half of their season, with seven more games scheduled before the conference tournament. They face Lee and Yorktown High Schools on Wednesday and Friday this week.
