On April 28, the boys’ varsity soccer team faced off against the South County Stallions at home. Although the Raiders lost 0-7, the team played hard throughout the game.
At halftime, the coaches offered words of wisdom and encouragement to the team:
“I don’t care if they score ten more goals, I don’t care if we score ten more goals,” said head coach Larry Bernfeld. “Let’s pretend it’s 0-0 and just keep playing soccer the way we know we can.”
The team currently has a record of 3-8, with two games left in the season. They play Marshall and Jefferson next week, both at home.
