On October 6, the Stuart varsity football team faced off against the Thomas Jefferson Colonials at home.

A strong overall effort from the team allowed the Raiders to achieve a 7 – 0 lead within the opening minutes, and they held the lead for the remainder of the game. In the end, Stuart dominated with a 42 – 6 victory.

However, the game held more significance to the Stuart community than just winning. Tonight was a “Red Out,” held in honor of Jeremy Munga, a Stuart football player who passed away over the summer.

Coincidentally, today was also what would have been Jeremy’s birthday. In memory of their friend, the hype squad led a meaningful rendition of “Happy Birthday” just before halftime.
