On Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, The World Famous Harlem Wizards visited J.E.B. Stuart HS to fundraise and put on a show for the Stuart pyramid. The Harlem Wizards played the Stuart Ballers, a team consisting of teachers and staff from all the schools in the Stuart pyramid, showed off their dunking skills, and brought young audience members onto the floor to play with them. 10th grade Health and P.E. teacher, Gregory Weisbecker, who participated in the game said, “The Harlem Wizards did a great job of getting the crowd involved, and it was really fun getting the community out for a good event.” The Harlem Wizards have raised three million dollars for schools nationwide and the event at Stuart was estimated to bring in about $10,000 for the Raiders Athletic Booster Club.
